Project Kidsight

Project Kidsight is a FREE vision screening program offered by Lions Club volunteers to conduct vision screening sessions for preschool children.

The program is designed for children from ages one to five.  The goal of preschool vision screening is to prevent blindness through early childhood detection and referral.  The process is as simple as having the child's photo taken with a PediaVision® camera and results are available immediately.   The photos can indicate whether eye disorders are present including far and nearsightedness, astigmatism, strabismus (misaligned eyes), anisometropia (unequal refractive power) and anisocoria (unequal pupils).

This program is funded by the local Lions club and they help organize the local events and provide volunteers to assist at the event.
