Can-A-Man
The "Lion Can-A-Man" program is a Lions District 11 A-2 (Oakland & Macomb counties) project that promotes the idea of having every single member of each Lions Club in the district, donate one can of food to select district projects.The ideal is to generate much needed canned goods and staples to help Penrickton Center for Blind Children and Welcome Homes for the Blind. Some clubs donate food and other essential items; others donate gift certificate; still others have donated an actual steer or hog. With these donations and countless others, the total food cost for feeding 33 children at Penrickton Center averages $0.00 every year!!!
The children at Penrickton Center for Blind Children and retired residents at Welcome Homes for the Blind are extremely grateful for this support.
